Built in 1892 the Town Hall is in the heart of the Cleckheaton on Bradford Road. This impressive building contains a 500 seat theatre with full backstage and technical facilities plus a selection of function and meeting rooms.
The foundation stone was laid by William Anderton, Esq JP on the 21st June 1890. Cleckheaton Town Hall was officially opened by Mr Joseph Law Chairman of the Town Hall Committee on 10th February 1892. The opening day was declared a half day holiday and the celebrations included processions, a football match, a lavish Ball and a magic lantern show in the Market Place.
