FOX'S BISCUITS

Established in 1853, Fox's Biscuits started out as a small confectionery shop in the centre of Batley, where the various recipes achieved by the founder and owner Michael Spedding proved to be popular with local traders. In 1897 Spedding's son-in-law, Fred Ellis Fox took over the running of the business.

In 1927 Fox's Biscuits moved to its present location of Wellington Street on the outskirts of Batley. The move along with the addition of further members of the Fox family joining the company, resulted in the production of a wider range of confectionaries, which included a selection of superior biscuits. By this time Foxs Biscuits were not just a local supplier, but were delivering its quality product all over Britain.

Today Fox's Biscuits is a major supplier of top quality biscuits to the U.K. and to many countries around the world.  Some 3,000 people are currently employed at the company's two factories in Batley and Kirkham and its purpose-built distribution centre in Wakefield.
