A bronze halfpenny (?) coin which has been smoothed on both sides in order to produce a love token; it has been pierced towards its edge to allow suspension; one side has been engraved with the letter J surrounded by stamped star-like circles; the other side is blank apart from an incomplete stamped circle similar to those on the reverse.
