Born in Batley, January 16th 1821, died in Leeds December 1st 1895. Mr. Ibberson was well remembered. He was one of the principal tradesmen of Batley at the end of the 19th century and was spoken of as being quaint and somewhat eccentric. Mr Ibberson was a draper and first commercial business in Wellington Street on premises later occupied by Mr. T. J. Wailes antique dealer. He later occupied a shop in Commercial Street on the future site of Mr. Deighton's business establishment and he was a prominent figure in the locality.
