A motorised fire engine, a Morris Belsize, fitted with a wheeled escape, was commissioned on the 8th March, 1911. This appliance was also kept in the Exchange Hall until the fire station in Railway Street was built in 1912. Sam Barraclough Chief Constable of Police on left with cane.
